MBD in Bearded Dragon?

Question
Hi there, I have an 18 month old bearded dragon whom I have recently noticed has developed a small lump of some sort on her central back about 1 inch above the base of her tail. She has no signs of discomfort, and no other symptoms (eating health, very active, no dragging of any limbs etc.). She eats a healthy amount of calcium sufficient greens everyday such as collard greens, mustard greens, and endive. She also eats about 15 crickets everyday. We limit her to this because she would eat as many as she could if we let her. The light in her enclosure is and Exo tera 160 W Sun glo emitting both UVA and UVB rays. I am concerned about this bump as I have done some research, and it seems to point mostly to MBD. Could she have MBD and not display any of the symptoms other than the lump? If this is the case, what are my solutions? Do I need to change the bulb (it has been in there for 6 months) or add a stronger UVB lamp, or do I need to give her liquid calcium supplements. I know that if I catch it soon I can durastically help her.

Your feedback is much needed and appreciated. Thanks!

Answer
Well, to me it sounds like she has developed a cyst of some kind which while not normal I don't think it's something life threatening. I would highly recommend that you take the dragon to a veterinarian to make 100% sure of what it is. You may also like to read our article on Bearded Dragons at reptileapartment.com
