Question
What are three of the main parts of a turtle's stomach?

Answer
Hello Karrleigh,

As far as different parts of the stomach, there are just organs which work in conjunction with the stomach.  The intestines are connected to the stomach as well as the esophagus.
The stomach of a chelonian is relatively simple, but a little different than mammals.
The stomach is in between the esophagus & intestines.  The esophagus is part of the digestive tract as well, which is located between the mouth & the stomach.
The stomach joins the small intestine or the pyloric splincter which is a thick muscular valve.
It is also attached to the liver's left lobe, as well.
Then just past the pyloric splincter, is the duodenum which is C-shaped & opens into the stomach.
The large intestine or colon is the area where it empties into for further breakdown of the contents of the stomach.

I hope this helps out some for you.
