Question

my guy a year ago.
Hello my 10 year old dragon has slowed down a lot recently. He has not lived in a tank since about age 3. He has always had his area to bask under his lamp and i have always hand fed him worms fruit kale red leaf etc. I had noticed for awhile his back legs slowing down. and today i noticed his from legs seem to be paralyzed as well. Im so sad now because i cant say i know how long his front legs have had this issue. I wake him up in the morning place him under his heat lamp and he at his own will, will move away from it when ready. I let him sit outside in the sun i spray him with water, no as much as i should, but i do. He is cherished by me i love him so much. Im scared cause he isnt taking apples which he loves and hasn't eaten much of anything for a few days. the most concerning part are his legs. he looked like he was seriously struggling to move tonight. also he has the longest prettiest tail and about an inch maybe a bit less has fallen off. is any of this normal with his old age? please help me with any answers. thank you

Answer
Kuba looks like a fine little old man.  He needs his vet.  Geriatic beardies need more attention, like more vet visits, probably a blood panel to make sure everything's working.  And I would have that tail looked at to make sure there's no infection or gangrene.  He may need to go into a spacious enclosure, so he doesn't have to move far to bask.  And I would give him more calcium rich food, collards, mustard greens, dandelions, butternut squash, and sweet potato.  Stop giving him apple, that's an appetite suppressant.
