Question
My iguana has white spots and he is also skinny. He is a baby and  I bought him a week ago. I had posted a similar question but didnt add his weight. I noticed he has extra hanging skin. it is turning winter here and he eats pretty much all of his food.

Answer
Hi  again Lizardlover(I do like your name!!)
In the other question you asked, I gave you a care sheet and other information... please be sure to read it.
It takes a while to get all the care correct for a baby iguana.  They aren't really easy to care for requiring very special care.
The diet you listed doesn't have much nutrition.  The looking skinny, and loose skin... I have a really good idea why that is. Also, on the white and brown spots, if you would like to send me pics, that would be great..jsut let me know and I can give you my email address...just mark that question to me as "Private"
You mention feeding him pet store ig food.  If this is a dry food, and you are feeding it dry...what happens is the dry food sucks all the water out of your little ig and causes him to dehydrate.  Dehydration is very very dangerous for iguanas, especially little iguanas.  There are many dry foods that are not good at all for igs... let me know what brand you are using.  Also, even with the better brands, they must be soaked in some warm water til the food is almost completely some to prevent it from dehydrating the iguana.   Please be sure to see the list of good ig foods in my other reply...and I hope to see you join the babyiguana group.
