Question
2 months ago, I purchased 2 baby uromastyx sisters.  Both of them were way to young to be sold, but I have saved several in the past,so of course I couldn't leave them there to die.  One is doing great, the other one is slowing withering away.  I have tried everything, liquid vitamin supplements, force feeding.  The only time she will eat is if I take her outside in the sun and let her pick her own food from the various things growing in the yard.  Is it safe to let her eat tomato plant leaves?  She nibbles on things I know are safe, but I am concerned about the tomato plant leaves.  Also, do you have any suggestions that I am not trying to help save her?  Thanks!

Answer
If they are living together I think you would do well to set the little one up in her own home.  Uros are territorial and even two females may not get along.  There may be some subtle intimidation going on.  No tomato plants, they are toxic.  I would start a garden of good greens, curly mustard greens, collard greens amd mache and let her browse that instead.  Bring her own food bowl outside until she has her own home or if she already does, you might consider moving one out of the other's view.
