grow or no grow

Question
dear Pam my beared dragon eats lots of greens and lots of insects like crickets and mealworms but he is nearly a year old and is only 12 inches long do you think anything is wrong with him, if there is then what.

 How big is the tank he is in?  If he's still in a 20 gallon, he may grow a bit more with more territory.  If he is in a 30 gallon breeder or larger, he may be a genetically small dragon.  By the way you describe his appetite, I imagine him healthy and happy.  A beardie will still be growing until 18 months.
