brown iguana

Hi i have had mi iguana for about a year in a half and he has never really turned brown before but now his head and a little of his feet are brown and he acts fine he eats and everything. is this something i should worry about?

Hi Emily, From your description I suspect your juvenile iguana is likely starting to develop the colour of an adult. That lovely bright green of baby iguanas will slowly change into more of an olive green/brown colour that you see in adults. Many will have a prominent amount of tan/orange colour as well which may intensify with hormonal changes. The brown/orange colour on my adult male is most noticeable on his legs and feet.
