Question
ya i've been forcing him to eat worms that are "naturally very high in
calcium"..... and since pretty much everyone is stressing about the ultra violet
light i will try my absolute best to get it.... when i get that light, will i still
keep the warmer/heater on? and until the time that i get the light, should i
be taking him out into the sun a lot? because he does have sunken eyes  and
i believe that's a sign of dehydration....?

Answer
Hello Ayah,

Ok, good he has been getting some calcium loaded worms.  It's just that if he is not getting enough UVB exposure the calcium wont do any good for him if he can't absorb it.  I am glad that you will try to get the UVB light, it will help him alot.
Yes, you will still need to use a bright white basking light in combination with the UVB light on one end of the tank.  The UVB flourescent tube light will need to be mounted directly overhead & beside the basking light to create a basking area where he can get heat & UVB all in one area.  Placing the bright white basking light beside the UVB will also protect his eyes from the UVB as well.
A bright white light such as a regular household lightbulb or a halogen flood or spot light will do just fine.

Well, you can take him out in the sun, but remember that they can get overheated & dehydrated quickly if they don't have a way to get out of the heat.  If he appears dehydrated you will need to get oral fluids into him as well.

Let me know how he is doing.
