lights for bearded dragons

QUESTION: Hi Tracie,
Could you please tell which is the best uvb mercury vapor light to get for Stu, he's a 3 year old male lives in a 55 gallon tank. I use the dome light setup.

ANSWER: Hello Bon,

That is a hard question since so many of the mercury vapor bulbs here in the US are not good.  If I had to choose one, I would go with the Powersun MVB.  That one seems to be the better one.  The T-rex Active UV Heat is pretty good if you can find it, that is.

QUESTION: Stu was loaded w pinworms, he's been medicated and back to normal. Thanks! Ate like a pig today and his stool is back to normal. We have to repeat the meds in 2weeks. You are awesome and thank you soo much!!!!

Wow that is too bad.
I am sorry Stu had pinworms though, but at least that was an easy fix!  
So, he is eating really well now?  That is super news for him!  What is he eating, crickets, worms, roaches?

QUESTION: He hasn't wanted any crickets since being de-wormed. He only has interest in super worms & pinkies these days. I offer meal worms, crickets also. Im gonna try roaches next, gonna get some this weekend.

Oh that is too bad he doesn't want any crickets right now.  Their tastes change sometimes.
I would not feed too much on the pinkies, they are too fatty & can contribute to fatty liver disease.  Maybe once a month would be sufficient.
He will probably like the roaches!
