koche ant the 2 girls
i have a 5 year old male bearded dragon and 2 females koche the male and the girls are in a ft viv with heat mat UV lighting and heat light and night light, i use newspaper at bottom of tank and have done for couple years on advice of vet, koche has been great up until couple of months ago he started having diarrhea, i contacted an online vet that didn't give me much advice other that to use dioralight to rehydrate him as he has lost weight also and was quite dehydrated, i don't this and i also gave him baths not then i stopped giving him dioralight as didn't want to give him too much and for the last few days i have now noticed that hes constipated and it seems to hurt when he trys to go its like it gets stuck i have tryed to help with a bit of loo roll but not too much as i didn't want to hurt him, his diet for years has been cabbage medley i get pre washed mixed cut and bagged for tescos which he has had since he was a couple months old, i also give him meal worms and locust hes been getting winged large adults, not this diet housing and everything he shares with the girls and the girls are great quite chunky i have got no probs with them at all, i am taking koche the vet on monday today is Thursday i cannot afford nor actually get him to the vets b4 then i really wish i could but other than approximate 2 warm baths a day and i tryed yogurt before on the advice of online forum and iv tryed the opposite of dioralite, a small amount of fibergel mixed with water in syringe into his mouth, he hasn't passed anything yet but thats only been today I really need some advice please help tonight if you can as I'm so worried kind regards leesa
AnswerWell, I would keep doing the baths but it sounds like he's impacted somehow but I am not sure why? The vet will be able to determine this cut back on the proteins until you take him to the vet as well as this maybe the cause of his constipation.
