Question
Hi i just got two beardies 2.5 months old. I have been looking around the internet but getting different info everywhere? i just want to get straight answers. just basic guidelines. Any certain time to feed? how much to feed ?( coz one just had 13 crickets and the smaller one had 5). what are the best veggies to feed? i have a nutrobal calcium balancer and multivitamin. is that the only duster i need or do i need anything else? my heat mat runs at about 100F is that too hot?

Answer
Vary the veggies, avoid fruit seeds (some can be bad).

Temps on the hot side of the cage should be 110F and SHOULD BE PROVIDED BY AN OVERHEAD LIGHT not a mat.  They regulate their bodies with a pineal gland on top of their head so they need to get the light/heat from above (just like the sun would be in the wild).

UVB lighting is also REQUIRED (you can get one bulb that will do both-just make sure it says UVB the B is the important part).

With small dragons feed at least twice per day (morning and afternoon).

Make sure their size stays comparable, if one gets much bigger than the other he might try to eat the small one.

Fireflys are deadly to beardies so avoid them.
