I just got my guinea pig oreo 3 months ago from the spca. He is fine when i am holding him and he doesnt try to run away.When i try to pck him up the he runs and hides. How do i get him us to me and him letting me pick him up?

Your guinea pig is just shy. A lot ( I mean a LOT) of piggies are shy. An easy way that I found; get your piggy into a corner of the cage and gently scratch your piggy's chin or head (on the very top). If that does not work; a few minutes before you pick up your piggy, take out all hidey huts and talk or sing to your piggy in a calm, quite voice. By the way, if you are stressed or angry, that not only makes your piggy stressed, but your piggy may also act more shy. I hope that your piggy and yourself become great friends!!
