Kayla losing hair and has sores

Question
I took our guinea pig to the vet $$$ to rule out mites and they did.  Why else could she be losing hair around her middle and developing sores?  I've cut her nails, she eats and drink and poops normal.  What am I not doing?  She gets fresh fruits and veggies regularly.

I am sure you are doing everything right. Mites may have been ruled out but lice, ringworm, parasitical infection are all other possibilities.

Believe me I know the expense of vets but its important a correct diagnosis is made.
