Adams spray
Mites don't usually show up on the whiskers or the back of the ear. All pigs have a bald spot just behind each ear, so if that's what you're noticing that's normal.

Having said that, that doesn't mean you shouldn't treat for mites anyway. All pigs get them and most vets will say that they're always present, but if the immunity system is strong they don't present a problem.

Go to your local pet store and purchase some Adams spray. Cover his eyes and give him a couple of good sprays enough to get him fairly wet. Then just let him drip dry. Do that about once every six weeks and you'll keep mites at bay.

We don't know where they come from, they're just there. If there's a serious infestation or if you have a lot of pigs, or there is a lice problem then Adams dip works better for that. But at 4 months I wouldn't dip him yet.  I don't think it's necessary.

Try the spray and see if that works for you.
