new owner of two ginny pigs

I just purchased two hopefully female ginny pigs today 3/19/2012. Sense I have had them home I have not seen them eat, drink or porch should I be worried? How long does it normally take for them to adjust to a new cage in a new place with new people and a 4dollar year old? Help Help.

Typically they all go through an adjustment period and should be left alone for about five days. Let them get used to the smells and sounds of their new environment. Don't try to handle them yet. Just leave them alone and they'll gradually find the food and water on their own.

At this point they're just scared and unsure of what's happened to them. Within a week they should be pretty much out of the fear period. It just takes time.
