QuestionI have 2 guinea pigs; Pepper is a year old and is fine and Salt is 3 years old and also fine. However, I have noticed that when Salt squeaks there is not so much squeaking sounds but more breathing, Pepper seems to squeak fine. Have you any ideas? Thank you.
AnswerHi Joe,
If I understand what you are telling me correctly, then I think I had a guinea pig named Panda with the same problem. While my other piggies would let out shrill whistles, Panda's noises would sound more like dry whistles that sounded just like a bunch of air, or harsh breathing. This is normal - however, I don't exactly know why some guinea pigs can't squeak as clearly as others.
Thank you for your question, I hope I have been of some help to you. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask. Good luck with your guinea pig (=
