Guinea pigs living in an aviary

Question
Hi,
Can my four female guinea pigs be transferred to an aviary with 3 budgies and a quail?

They are used to living outside, and the aviary is big enough.

thanks!

Answer
Hello,
I'm not sure what to suggest as I have never really thought of it but I will give you my best try. Although there would be plenty of space and it would be cool and fresh for them they may get cold if you don't put a house in their for them at night. The birds may poop on the guinea pigs which would make them dirty and harder to clean. Also in the wild guinea pigs are preyed on by birds so it may be their natural instinct to hide and be frightened of birds. If the birds and guinea pigs come in contact they may hurt eachother.
You could try it for a day and see how both animals react but make sure the guinea pigs do have some shelter to hide under.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help
