Question
I separated the male babies from mom at 4 and 1/2 week cause i keep getting conflicting information  when i first took mom out she was fine let me pet her stomach and everything she was still a little big but nothing alarming as time is going by she won't let me touch her stomach and it seems like she is getting a little bit bigger.  So if there was inbreeding what do I do or what can i expect she is the first female i have owned and i got her from a pet store and she was already pregnant the first time around.  Thanks for you help!

Answer
Hi Sarah,

A male guinea pig comes into maturity at 3 weeks old and can get his mum pregnant, so she may well be pregnant. She will take on the shape of a pear. You will need to triple her amount of vitamin C or the babies will become horribley difformed. The mother will be pregnant for 64-72 days depening of the size of the litter. And make sure you sperate the males anf females at 3 weeks of age
