hot piggy

Question
Hi. I just a baby piggy for my dorm room. I'm owned 3 piggies before but ive had central air for them. It's pretty hot in here and i wanted to know what i can do to keep him comfortable and cool. I have a fan on him right now, but i think it's freaking him out. Thanks

Remember, guinea pigs are a tropical animal.  That said, I would turn off the fan.  He will be just fine without it.  In fact, drafts (such as those from a fan) can make a guinea pig sick.  If it's super hot (90+ degrees), here's a solution.  Use a 20 oz. plastic pop bottle.  Fill it about 2/3 with water and put it in the freezer until it's solid.  Then, you can put that in the cage, wrapped in a washcloth or some other small cloth (don't go around it more than once, or it won't help him).  If he gets too hot, he can lean against it and cool off.
