my piggies cage

ok, I'm new to this whole thing. i just got a cage for my guinea pig, and im not getting him/her until thursday. so i kinda need an answer fast. well, i have alfalfa, bedding&litter stuff, and food, but im not sure how to lay out my cage. do i need to put alfalfa on top of the bedding and litter stuff, or is it just for food purposes? sorry about all these pointless questions, but im just not sure. :)

No questions are pointless. I admire you wanting to be prepared for your new arrival.

The hay is primarily for eating so I would put a layer of newspaper down, then the bedding and some hay for eating in a small pile.

I also recommend shredded paper as a bedding as its free!
