breeding?

hi, i have a guinea pig named chocolate chip and hes a male. ive had him for a while now and hes had his own cage and everything. now, ive recently got a female guinea pig named smore. i put her in his cage so they can share and live together. after a few minutes they are makeing weird noises. he keeps climbing over her and chasing her alot. and now hes jumping around alot and hes trying to mate with her and she just fights him off. why is all this happening?

This is happening because its nature
When a male comes into contact with a female then he will want to mate with her
It should stop after a couple of days
Also she may now be pregnant
so in 9-10 weeks you could be having babies
