Travelling with a piggy

Question
My daughter has a six year old guinea pig. We have to make a move and travel 1500 miles, can a guinea pig travel that distance in a vehicle?  
The piggy is in good health and not high strung either. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

but he or she will be better in a car. I have never traveled that far only about 10 miles so....

Just make sure that he has water and food and stop his fruits and veggies 2 days before you start on your long jurney. So he won't get EXTREME poooops!
his dry pellets would be  good with nice fresh water.
also make sure that it is not too hot or cold in the car. and NO LOUD MUSIC!!!
