Guinea Pig stomach problem

hey can someone tell me why is my friends guinea pig not eating if she doesn't hand feed him? so its been 3 days, first day, my friend noticed that her guineapig doesn't wanna eat by himself, so she started hand feeding him. and that first day, he was absolutely fine, the teeth eyes ears nose feet hands nails mouth and everything was fine, but day 2 he was a little bit down and still doesn't wanna eat without my friend hand feeding him. and then day 3 he dropped really bad, he doesn't wanna eat even with being hand fed, but then my friend tried cutting the veggies into really small pieces, he ate them. but when my friend touches his tummy, he gave out a really bad reaction like he was really hurt. she brought him to the vet, and the vet said he has crams. but I'm wondering if theres something else? and does he need an X-ray? thanks :)

I'm not sure what the "crams" are but it sounds like he does indeed have a belly ache. Anytime a guinea pig refuses to eat there is a serious problem. Sometimes finding what that problem is may be very difficult.

I think the best thing to do is to follow the advice of the vet. Xrays may not show anything, but you might suggest it to the doctor and see if he's willing to do it. You have to understand that xrays, etc are expensive. So you might want to get a price before you make that move.
