Can I shower a guinea pig that has mites and the medicine Revolution?

Question
Hi, awhile back I asked you a question about my guinea pig with mites and I brought it to the vet. The vet applied revolution. It's been around 1-2 weeks since the vet visit.

Now, my guinea pig is really dirty. Because for the first 2 days she refused to move and now her bottom is really dirty because she just stood over her pee and poop. I'm wondering if I can shower her because she's really dirty or will that wash off the "Revolution" or aggravate the mites? She is walking around now normally but runs away from our hand like all new guinea pigs do.

So I'm wondering if I can shower her. I'm also wondering that since she is a new guinea pig, will it be too stressful for her?

Thanks.

Answer
It sounds like she may have had a little reaction from the Revolution, however she seems to have gotten over it. The Revolution actually gets into the body system and kills the mites as they chew on the pig, then it kills the eggs that have been layed.

The Revolution has done its job now. So yes, you can give her a shower. She will probably enjoy it.
