new guinea pig need info

I got a new gp and when i sit it down by herself she starts to squeek extremely loud. She also hops in circles and shakes her head. I was wondering if this was normal behavior for a baby and what can i do to calm her down?

Hi Kevin.  Just about any behavior is normal for a baby.  If she has a favorite treat, only let her have it while you are holding her.  You can also try scratching her nose - most guinea pigs love that.  Some raise their head up wanting you to scratch harder.  She probably misses her mum a bit, and that might explain the squeaking.  I hope this helps!
