Question
Hello

I took my five week old male out of my three month old females cage yestereday because he was bothering her (was was pregnant when I bought her), I put him in his own cage with lots of food/water and a hiding place but he wont stop sqeaking. When I take him out he sqeaks when he heres something he sqeaks he seems to sqeak almost all day long. Why is he sqeaking? Is there anything I can do to stop him? They are very high pitched sqeaks I cant put him back in with teh female because she is due soon.

Answer
Dear ?,

The male is just communicating ith the female because before they were together and didn't have to be so loud. Put the two cages next to each other so they have acces to still communicat. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT LET THE MALE GET TO THE YOUNG IT IS MOST LIKELY NO MATTER HOW SWEET HE MIGHT SEEM IT IS A HABIT FOR THEM TO EAT YOUNG SO DONT DO THAT!!!
