QuestionQUESTION: My guinea pig came from the pet store pregnant. She had a litter of 4 pups. The runt was born without teeth. She is now 2 1/2 weeks old. She isn't growing as fast as the others, and though she shows an interest in the food the others are eating, she can't seem to eat it. The vet wants to euthanize. Is that my only option? Who can I talk to?
ANSWER: Hi Logan
It all depends on if there is a sign of teeth growing now?
If yes, then you can hand-feed until he can eat on his own. Is there teeth coming through now?

QUESTION: I'm not sure how to tell. She chews on lots of stuff like a human baby who is teething, but I can't yet see anything. What/how can I hand feed. I'm afraid she may be impacted from no fiber. She just sits in the corner now.
AnswerHi
The best thing to do is to liquidise the pellets and or veggies with a little water and use a syringe feeder to feed.
If there are no teeth coming through then that is why your vet recommends putting her to sleep, but if you gently look inside her mouth you should be able to find out.
