QuestionThe hair on one of my guinea pig's backs grows in different directions, leaving two whorls of exposed skin. The exposed skin is very dry and flaky however the rest of her skin is fine. She was treated for parasites when we first got her about a year ago and it seemed to be successful. My other guinea pig has no problems.

You probably have a guinea pig with some abbyssinian genes to have whorls. As for the dry skin, I would recommend that you try treating it with some vitamin e. What I usually do is buy the liquid vitamins and break them open and use the pure liquid inside as a treatment for the dry skin, just rub it in.
Hope this is helpful. If you have any more questions, please feel free to contact me again. Good luck!
