whats wrong??

well i barely got my guinea pig a week ago and its been doing fine until today.My mom noticed that spuds(my guinea pig) was sitting in the corner with sad eyes and breathing really hard.I looked up some information online about this but i got different answers all the time and i am really worried..so,i was wondering if its just a phase or should i take him to the vet...please help ASAP thanks

I would take your guinea pig to the vet, especially if he's not eating and drinking, that's a sure sign of sickness. With his labored breathing it also sounds like he's very stressed as well and the vet is the best place to go, I hope he gets better. Keep me updated.
