My four male guinea pigs

Question
Hello I introduced my 1yr old male guinea pig yesterday to my three other male piggies. They are now showing aggressive behavior (raising head and showing teeth. Also chasing him trying to bite his face)I separated the 1yr old and I plan on buying a cage and maybe trying to get him a companion. I feel so bad for the 1yr old because it seems to me like he's just being friendly and the other males want nothing to do with him! I can get another piggy for the 1yr old but will he get along with them? I'm not sure if the 1yr old lacks social skills because he hasn't been with another guinea pig since he was a baby? I know this sounds really silly but the new piggy is a Peruvian and the others are short haired..could they be freaked out by his long wooshy hair?

Answer
dont worry it is nothing to do with social skills or fur no matter how wooshy males are harder to bond than females and usually you'll need a sibling or young pair, or one that is old and one that is young. with your new piggy being already one it was automatically going to make it much harder, plus bonding does soemtimes take time, a young mate would be fine although they will fight a little at first and you will need to follow the usual bonding procedures.
