Vitamin c for guinea pigs

i have two guinea pigs that look like they are havin bleeding problems when they use the bathroom these are my first guinea pigs i think it might  scurvy or urinary track infection after we took my chiese pug to the vets to get a c section well she never walked right again so i dont like the idea of taking them to that vet and i dont know anywhere else around here to go. Would increasing vitamin c help? i use a little  of super premium Guinea Pig Blend with Ester C, Timothy hay, and i give them finely chopped cellery, baby carrots and letuce they gobble most of it up i gave Myia a tinny peace of plumb a weeks ago

I doubt the problem is scurvey based on the good diet you give them and the bleeding. A urinary tract infection is much more likely. Vitamin C would of course help with scurvey but you would need antibiotics for a UTI.

The antibiotic that is best suited for a UTI is called Bactrim. Whilst I understand your reluctance to go to the vet again you could just ask for this to be prescribed.
