Should I get rid of aggresive Guinea Pig

Question
Hi
About 3 months ago I bought 2 male piggies and a week later we bought another 3 males. We took the pet shop advice and introduced them outside to see how they got on. We did have 2 cages just incase but they all snuggled up together and got on brilliantly. WI kept an eye on them and there were never any signs of aggresion, everyday they'd all be snuggled up together.
For the last week or so one has become a bit of a loner. And the other pigs seems to keep there distance from him. I then noticed 2 days ago that one pig had a chunk out of his ear, it seemed relatively new as I could see red blood. I bathed his ear ( which didnt seem to bother him) . Later when they were in their run outside I noticed the 'loner' was chattering his teeth and being stand offish with the other pigs.
This morning I wnet in to feed them an another pig has a big rip in his ear, again fresh blood. It broke my heart and now I dont know what to do.
All the other piggies get on great so should I take the other one out? I know they say keep them in pairs but i dont think it is fair to have my other piggies being attacked. I just dont understand why this has just started happening and what I can do to remedy it
Thanks In Advance

Emma

Answer
Hi

Really, the pet store should have advised you against keeping more than 2 males together. However, if its only one pig causing the problem then there is little option other than to keep that one separate and give him lots of attention yourself.
