Question
I was reading an answer to one of your question and one of my pigs has the following problem

First, check his "rear" to see if there is a large block of feces blocking his vent. If so, remove it by gently swabbing with mineral oil to soften it and then kind of pry it out of there.

Is there somthing wrong in his diet to cause this it happens everyday and I am constantly removing feces blocking his vent? I Give him hay lettuce and carrots everyday.

Answer
Hi Anthony,

His diet definitely needs altering, as just hay, lettuce and carrot isn't providing him with nearly enough vitamins to keep him in full health. A good sized cage (www.guineapigcages.com) and plenty of floor time will build up the strength in his rear end, thus reducing the impaction problems.

I highly recommend that you copy and paste the following link into your browser address bar. It gives you top quality information about meeting piggies' nutritional needs, and advises on you about all aspects of feeding piggies:

Other than altering those aspects, there is nothing more you can do, other than clearing his sac each day. It's something other, otherwise healthy, guineas have to have done each day, so don't worry too much if you do still need to clear him every day.

Best Wishes,
