Peaches
Hi Pat

I want to thank you so much for taking an interest in my Pigs and for your kind support.

Peaches had her babies at 9.30 am on 10th August...and she didn't need any help from me after all!

On Tuesday night I put peaches in her overnight basket in the spare room again and she was acting perfectly normal as if she was nowhere near having them.  I could hear her nibbling at her food bowl and her water bottle and this morning she was actually climbing the sides of the basket trying to get to Sweetie Pie, her boyfriend.

So I thought well it's not happening today so I put her in the outside cage.  I came back about an hour later and she was running around and then about an hour after that she was inside and Sweetie was acting all hyperactive and running in circles in his cage.  So I opened Peaches box and you can guess what I saw.

I think 2 are boys and one is a girl. They are all 100 grams each.

Today they had their first photoshoot and I've got fantastic homes arranged with some ladies from my work who have already bought cages for them in eager anticipation.

Except for my worrywart mentality, guinea pigs are the best most rewarding hobby if you give them what they need to be their true adorable selves.

Thanks again Pat, I look forward to talking to you again next time I'm having a guinea pig meltdown.

Answer
OH CONGRATULATIONS!  I am sooooo happy to hear everything went well. I got a bit worried when I didn't hear back from you, that's why I sent you the message.

You're right, they are the most rewarding hobby. They require so little and give back so much. The hard part is explaining your passion to people that aren't real animal lovers in the first place. They just don't get it. But who cares? Do we really need to impress those kind of folks anyway...........Nope.

Enjoy your babies. Please send more pictures. Aren't they incredible right from birth? I've had hundreds of babies over the years and still feel the same sense of awe and thrill when I see a new litter.

Remember, I'm right here if you need anything again.
