Question
I have a guinea pig and my brother has one too.We both know that mine is a boy and we don't know what his is.Mine is always trying to breed with his,but it squeaks and runs away from him.I'll stop it of course but I don't know if thats right?Should I let them go on like this?and why is my brother's ignoring mine?

Answer
Hi Devon

You can find out if your brother's a boy or a girl. If you gently press on its tummy, a penis will pop out if he is a boy.

It is natural for your pig to try and breed with his if it is a girl, but yours might not want to breed.

It is also possible that they are both male and yours is trying to mount his to establish himself as the dominant male.

Hope that helps
