Bowels

Question
I just want to know if Guinea Pigs bowels change colors, first it was brown now its green, my mom said it's because I change his food. What do you think?

Hello Rauesha and thanks for the question,

Yes, GP's bowels can vary in color. Healthy, normal, feces is brown and hard to the touch (like a coffee bean). If your GP's bowel is greenish, cut back on the green leafy veggies a little and/or give him more Timothy hay. Alfalfa is also bad in large amounts.

I would not be concerned unless the bowel stayed green for a few days solid.
