Hard lump

Question
I have a female guinea pig who has suddenly developed a very enlarged and hard lump under her chin. It takes up her entire front chest, and looks similar to a goiter. I didn't think guinea pigs could get goiter's! She no longer squeaks or makes her regular noises. Any suggestions?

feel the lump,if it moves with the skin its probably a cyst but if it feels rigid then it could be a tumour in which case you will need to get her to a vet for a look.
A cyst may well drain itself and not need the attention of a vet.
