maybe a guinea pig is for me?

Hello i'd like another pet and am thinking of getting a guinea pig. Does a guinea pig need another guinea pig to be happy? how big does the cage need to be for one or two and do they ened to be handled every single day to be tame or no?

Ideally a guinea pig will have company from another guinea pig. Any hutch should be as big as you can afford, but 1.5 metres wide would be adequate.

Handling regularly does give you a better chance of relaxing the pig, although piggies are relatively tame to start with.
