guinea pig homes

is this a good home b/c i read a girl used it as a home for her rabbit and it works great so can i use it

Hi!  I actually use these as exercise pens for my guineas.  I think they're great for providing a safe and roomy environment for small furries to play in.  I'm not too sure about using them as permanent homes for a guinea pig, though.  To use this pen for this purpose you would need to keep it in the same place 24/7 as guinea pigs don't like change and wouldn't their home moved about all the time.  It would also need some form of draught-proofing around the bottom as long term it would get pretty draughty living down on the floor.  Then your pigs would require hiding places for security and sleeping quarters.  If you think you could get it cosy and homely enough, and keep it permanently in one spot then it should be okay to use.  I wouldn't use it though if you're thinking of using it outside as they aren't very protective from pests etc.
