treats and toys

hello,

My question is:  Are there any guinea pig treats that can be made at home that you know of that you could give me the recipe? Also, my guinea pigs will not play with their toys and I wonder if you know of any toys that guinea pigs will for sure play with that could be homemade, becasue the ones at petstores dont wrok and are expensive.

I'm not a good cook in human terms! However, I'm reliably informed that mixing bran with water is a real treat for our furry friends. You could do the same thing with cornflakes. However, the most tasty thing for piggies are fresh vegetables.

Home made tubes are fun for piggies to run through, also hanging a carrot from the top of the cage will provide hours of entertainment.

Guinea pigs don't need lots of toys but the more things to chew and run through the better.
