Travel with Guinea Pigs (10 hour drive)

Question
I have 3 guinea pigs, two males and one female, I am planning on traveling for the weekend and taking them with me. I live in a city which has an elevation of 1740 feet above sea level and the place I am heading to has an elevation of approximately 5,200 feet. I would like to make sure my guinea pigs would not have any problem, first for the elevation change and second because I suspect the female is pregnant.

Answer
they should be fine, for the female keep her in a box with food hay water and good ventilation but without any openings that she can see thorugh. if she has a cage mate then keep her with you, and i would advise not having music playing loudly if you are travelling via car. dont worry too much about the elevation difference, if you can handle it without feeling ill so can they. if you feel a little funny from it then i recommend you pulling up and stopping for an hour or so to give the female time to adjust to it.
best of luck
