Hi, I am getting two male or female guinea pigs & two female meduim breed bunnys in april, I have a cage, water bottles, dishes hard plastic baby toys(my mini rex bunny loves these) and carboard boxes as hides, anyways I was thinking of feeding the guinea pigs hagen pellets would these be ok? also is newspaper ok as bedding? could I use corn cob/carefresh/pelleted paper litter in the corners? Also should everyone have there own water bottle? what about dishes should there be at lest two dishes so tehy can eat at teh same time?, please get back to me as soon as possilbe.

It is not a good idea to keep guinea pigs and rabbits together. They are two very different animals and a rabbit can easily injure a guinea pig unintentionally.

Guinea pigs should be given fresh fruit and vegetables and specialised guinea pig dry mix.

For bedding, i would put a layer of newspaper underneath either hay or shredded paper. You can put a little extra bedding in one corner to encourage them to use the bathroom there.
