Question
How can you tell if a guinea pig is pregnet?

Answer
Hi Amanda,

A guinea pig who is pregnant will gradually increase her appetite, although some become more picky with the foods they will eat.  With many first pregnancies, weight gain is not obvious until much later.  Towards the last week or so of the pregnancy, you may be able to feel the babies kicking from inside the mother.  She may also become more hostile to touch by you or any other animal she may share her cage with.

Either way, certain care should be taken care of her.  Daily exercise, attention, and vegetables should be given, as well as additions of vitamin supplemental drops to her food and water.  All of this is imperative to a healthy pregnancy, and to an overall healthy life of a guinea pig.

Thank you for your question, I hope I have been of some help to you.  If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  Good luck with your guinea pig (=
