gp in pain

Question
my gp has been unweell. I have taken him to vet who gave him antibiotics. these perked him up. his is still not back to himself. some days he really seems much better, then he seems to go downhill again. he is sitting to the side, hooping istead of his usual little run and his personality has changed a lot. would i know if he is in pain? thanks

Answer
Hi Lorraine

The problem is piggies naturally hide ill-health and pain due to their prey status.

However, if, for example he has a hurt leg, a gentle massage will usually result in a squeak of pain so perhaps you could try this on the affected area to test it. i would have hoped the vet would have given him something for pain if he thought it was neccesary.
