Fitting????

Hi there! I wondered if you might be able to assist me with my guinea pig worry! My GP is around a year old and has been in really good health so far but recently he has started fitting. I have a female GP also who has recently been treated for mites. As a precaution we also sprayed our male so I don't believe it is caused by mites. He lays on his back and begins fitting, afterwards he is right as rain and continues eating, drinking, playing etc. I have researched a little on the net but not really found what i'm looking for. Also today he has began dragging his little back legs along, I am stuck for what to do. I know vets can be expensive and would like to avoid the bills but if this is the only way to help I have no choice. I just wondered if there was anything I could do to help the lil' fella first?? I dont live too far from you, I am in Sheffield!

I'm a little concerned about the treatment given for mites as sprays dont usually work. Mites burrow under the skin so need an ivermectin injection to kill them all. For this reason mites may still be the problem.

I dont think there is any other option than to consult a vet.
