Male or Female?

I recently had a Male Guinea pig, And i loved him but he passed away. I am looking to adopt another guinea pig by january hopefully. But i am not sure if i should get a Male or a Female. I dont want to breed them though. What would you say?

It is all a matter of personal preferance. There really isn't much difference between males and females in their relationship to humans. The only differences are how they interact with others of their own species. They both make intellegent, loving, cuddly pets. I usually prefer males myself but that's because my first piggy was a male and I tend to like male names better than female names. Right now my house is home to 8 sows and 4 boars and I love them all very much and they are all equally wonderful pets. My advice would be, just visit the rescue or breeder and choose the piggy who chooses you. I'm sure you won't be disappointed whatever his or her gender ends up being.
