Guinea pig housing

Hi,

I would like to know if MDF is poisonous to guinea pigs?  I want to build a run but need to check first if it is poisonous.

I have in the past built indoor hutches in shed out of mdf. mdf if gnawed is not good for them the glue used is bad for any living creature, and if wet or damp would not be a good living enviroment due to fumes it can release but... it can be used. if the run is indoor then the mdf should be fine, however as it is little more than thick cardboard it is no good for an outdoor run, a few weeks of rain an it will be mush on your lawn.
if you were to wrap it in something waterproof then that would work, but i think on the whole timber or plywood with mesh is the best thing for a run.
