Ant attack?

Question
My guinea pig is a 6 month old female called princess. I have noticed that recently she has been jumping and squeeking- it looks as if something is biting her. I've been reserching tic and flea remedies but am now starting to think the problem may be ants because when i let her run around on the floor of my lounge she is fine,is this possible? Even just after i clean her cage (its wooden) i see there are ants in it, it there anything i can use to get rid of them that will be safe on her?

Answer
if it is ants (whixh is possible) then they are comming from somewhere outside of the hutch, you MUST either find their nest and destroy it with ant killer or move her cage/htuch to somewhere else.

try this and if she is still jumping about and squeaking aftr a day or two then contact me again.
