Question
we have a mother and daughter who have been together almost two years, they
fought a bit but nothing serious. today i came home and the daughter was dead,
with her eyes missing. this is serious, not b.s. what in the world happened?

Answer
a few questions, how big was the cage that they were in because sometimes a small cage can initiate dominance issues and fights when there isn't enough room for each to claim it's own. Also since they were fighting in the beginning they should have been separated then because they were obviously having issues that could one day lead to what just happened. Even though guinea pigs are more likely to get along with each other because they normally live in groups some guinea pigs just don't get along with others and will constantly pick on other members until they eventually kill them. it's all about dominating the other and some guinea pigs just want everything to themselves. Even if an animal just fights a little bit, the minute you notice you immediately separate them for good because it will escalate 99% of the time.
