GP eye injury

Question
Guinea Lynx has oxytetracycline on its 'banned' list of meds for GP's - why is an expert on here recommending Terramycin eye ointment for them?  Confused.

Unfortunately not everyone knows what are the Dangerous meds for Guinea Pigs or don't do a lot of research into the meds and the best way for the problem to be treated or maybe they have used it and it worked fine without any dangers to their Guinea Pigs.

Either way always remember that each Guinea Pig is different and the best way to know what meds to give a Guinea Pig is to talk to a vet with lots of Guinea Pig experience.
